Hello, my name is Cridhe Cu Galadriel, AKA Kili or Miss Kili (my favorite). In the novels Kili was the daughter of Romca, a traditional beauty of Minis Tirith. Kili had strong limbs and a curved figure which gave hint to the lineage of her father, while the soft waves of her hair and the dignified features of her face show that she must truly be the daughter of a woman of Gondor. She was slightly muscular and curvy, and her features were sharp. (Well that's me to a tee)
Personal/Items: She wore a necklace with a methril chain and a marble stone at the end. It was her mothers, a gift from Balin when he took her to Erebor.
Nationality: Erebor (Lonely Mountain) by birth.
It has been brought to my attention by two lovely ladies, Ebby and Derry from Florida that us girls need to have our say, so I have followed their lead and started our own page called "Lady Bugs", JUST FOR GIRLS. This page will be fun but will also cover the more serious issues, and I will make every effort to help you girls in any way I can.
So please and let's get those letters coming in!!!
I am happy to add anything you think may be of interest to us ladies; eye-catching male dog pin ups, tips worth sharing, cute photos of gorgeous dogs for us to drool over, recipes, male dog pin ups, nice pretty collars, and not forgetting any handsome dog pictures. Just about anything of interest.
Please note that Kili's recipe page has moved and can now be found here under

Dear Kili, I love to chase things out of our garden, it's my favorite pleasure, but sometimes my mom and dad don't wake me up to let me know there's a squirrel or bird outside, can you have a word with them and explain I need to feel like the protector of the household, and hate to miss the boat.
Thanks, Cagney, Florida
Dear Cagney, When something of dog importance happens in our house or garden, if I'm sleeping my mom or dad gently wakes me up to let me know. So please Cagney's mom and dad, understand that doing this makes her feel like a VIP (very important pooch) she wants to be your protector and do her job. I'm sure if you promise to do that, she'll promise to stop barking upon command (unless it's the postman)!
Hello Miss Kili!, I wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your doggy "good" biscuits recipe with us! My two daughters and I made them up the other night and brought them with us to a wolfhound home. You see, we are looking for a wolfhound pup who wants us as it's own people. And I think your biscuits got us "in good" with the mum and dad wolfhound there. They smelled so good, even my little girls had to taste them. Hee Hee. And all the wolfies there were drooling for more. Next time I'll have to do a double batch! And you can bet the wolfies will be waiting at the door for us!
Thanks again, Cora in St. Paul MN
Dear Cora, I am so pleased that my biscuits were a hit at the wolfhound house you went to visit, and I wish you all the luck in the world and am sure because you are so kind that all the pups will want to go home with you. It has made me very happy that you are going to adopt one of my brothers or sisters, as me and Balin look upon all wolfhounds as such. My mom said that Sophies Cheesy Choice is a wonderful recipe and I agree, very, very easy to make, and we ALWAYS love them, especially when she adds some crispy cooked bacon crumbled in too. And my mum and dad pinch one of our biscuits theyre so good. Please give your daughters a big sloppy doggie kiss from me and Balin.
Good luck with the puppy, it will be so much fun!
Dear Kili, What do you think about these
"arranged marriages"? The last time I was in heat I had the cutest chocolate
lab visit me. OK.....he wasn't that tall, but he dressed up in a new green
bandanna and he really knew how to sweet talk me through the fence. My mom
yelled really loud to my human mom who was sitting out on the porch and she
came outside flapping her arms and she scared my boyfriend away! Then they
both sat me down and told me that they had bigger and better plans for my
future husband and to stay away from any guys wandering up, no matter how
cute. Boy were they upset with me. I only flirted a little! OK.....maybe it
was a bit more than that. Do you think they were right to get so upset with
him coming by for an innocent visit....or with me for trying to talk to him?
Confused in Florida
Derry
My dear Derry, Arranged Marriages get my vote BUT ONLY if the dog is very good looking, a true gentleman and has a terrific sense of humor. We have to be very careful when we are in heat, because any Tom, Dick or Harry (unless it's Harry Potter from Bribiba Irish Wolfhounds of course) is likely to pay us a call. Purebreds, mixed breeds, they all have but one thing on their minds. Trust me, these guys are only looking for a one night stand, however cute and well dressed they are, and our moms and human moms are aware of this and know they dont need much encouragement.
I doubt they were upset with you, just watching out for your good name. Our Moms are wise and usually know whats best for us, so I wouldnt worry about flirting, its good practice for when we meet THE ONE. But I wouldn't wear the hot pants and the high heels next time, it's a dead give-a-way!!
PS He did sound cute though, did you get a photo?
Derry replies to Kili: Wow
Kili! You know an awful lot of stuff! Thanks for the advice. My mom Ebby
pretty much told me the same thing and it does make sense....at least it
does now. She said that the last time she flirted with a good looking guy
she ended up with me and your best friends, Duncan and Indie and 5 other
siblings! Mom said that it was a result of an arranged marriage and that she
was really glad they chose my dad, cuz he's so handsome and gentlemanly. She
also said I'd have to stand in a ditch for that lab but I don't know what
she meant by that. Sometimes moms can be so confusing!
Derry
Kili replies: Hi Derry, I am glad I could be of service. All I can say is the older you get, the wiser you get. So now you can see why arranged marriages our mom's advise are for the best. Just look at the good looking pups your mum had. As for standing in the ditch, I'm not sure what she meant either, but my guess would be so you could hide from those guys when they come knocking at the fence!
Dear Kili,
Thanks for posting the photo of Harry Potter! He's really handsome in those
sunglasses. Is he a movie star or something? Now he could eat dog cookies in
my bed any time!
Ebby from Florida
Hi Ebby, You're very welcome, he is rather gorgeous isn't he, and pretty famous, just a shame he lives so far away!!
A Star is Born!!
Just to let friends and
family know that my daughter, Derry has launched her new singing career. The
crowd went wild! <OK...so it wasn't much of a crowd but they were all waving
their arms, so I know they loved her!> They were howling for more when she
finished. She has to work on a few more tunes but I'm sure we'll be booking
her tour soon.
Ebby
HANDSOME DOG
Our thanks to Harry Potter from Scotland for sending in his cool photo.
Hey girls, check out this big handsome hunk of male wolfie!!!
Now he'd be worth bringing home to meet Mom.....
Sorry girls but Harry is now spoken for.
Bribiba's magnificent 'Harry Potter' will soon be a new daddy. He was mated to the incredibly lucky and very beautiful 'Santir Zara'. Puppies are expected in May 2004.
Congratulations to Harry, Zara, and all at Bribiba, we can't wait to see your new arrivals.
UPDATE
- Listen girls, I just
heard from Harry himself. He said their love affair didn't last more
than a couple of days.
Hooray, opps, I mean how sad!! Looks like Miss Zara only wanted him
for his body. Anyway, Harry said he's moving on and is now looking for
a new love!! Steady now girls, you'll have to join the line......
Here's another handsome devil. My mate, Sunstag Wolfbane (Balin), call me bias, but he is awfully cute!
I would like to introduce Strider.
He is the newest member of our family and the biggest Wolfhound we've ever seen.
This gorgeous boy is Delacey's 'Brenann' Valentine.
This is Jakey, he owns my moms best friend Liz.
No, he's not a wolfhound, but he's VERY handsome!!!
Watcha chewin' now Jakey!!!
Here's Luke, another cutie.
He can herd me any day and he's good with birds!!
