Sunstag Wolfbane AKA Balin DOB: 02/26/2002 (See Certificate of Honor)
Balin was recently awarded his Certificate of Honor from the Irish Wolfhound Club of America who certified and awarded him his Certificate of Longevity.
He has such a wonderful temperament, and is extremely kind in nature, a very thoughtful, caring, gentle giant. Balin is a "true gentleman". He did start his show career many moons ago, but he "simply" hated it, this is the only reason he was not shown again until he reached his golden years and he was shown this year so people could see how youthful and fun loving he still is at his age. When he was younger and we realized the show ring was never going to be his favorite place, we moved onto Lure Coursing where he had a great time, but decided after his first couple of runs that he'd much rather investigate the judges tent to see what they were having for lunch, so..... onto Obedience?, well that would have been too funny! Balin is now a very youthful 8+ year old, still running around playing with the others, his favorite past-time is eating people food, after all he is practically human, and knows exactly how to get what he wants. He also has an amazing sense of humor.

Kili is an exceptional lady, she truly owns my heart and for those of you who have lived with several wolfhounds, you will understand when I say there will never be another like her, which is why she has to live forever. Never have I met such a happy girl, or one so devoted to her family. Kili is a smiler, and grins from ear to ear, and knows precisely how to melt your heart and can have you laughing in no time. Everyone who meets her can not help but fall in love with her. She adores everyone and everything, even our cats are welcomed and adored, and that goes for all the clan. Kili turned 8 years young in June 2010, and is still racing around with the young ones, the absolute alpha of the pack and in her younger days she was an exceptionally agile and swift lure courser.
